Ground Control To Major Tom

So, what happens when you gloat about increasing posting?

If you guessed that you loose your internet connection for the better part of two months, you guessed right.

This is just to say that I am back. And that I'm formulating a post that outlines some guidelines for approaching the internets. Common sense rules, if you will.

It'll be fun to see how it goes.

What does it say . . .

When you do well on a job test and yet you start looking for a new place to work before they've even hired you?

Not good things, I'd imagine.

Also, what does it say that I've managed to update all of twice in the past two months? That's right, we've increased our posting!

Which might be considered sad by some, me I see it as increasing our output.

Edit: I didn't get the job anyway. I didn't "fill their needs". :Þ

All Quiet on

the HD front. I am helping make a game system, but can't really divulge anything since there is this magical thing called an NDA that stops my fingers from typing when I say anything it covers. I have very little else to say other than if anyone actually reads this, and has work for an artist fresh out of school with a BA, let me know.

Honey I'm home!!

Ahh home again. But I have no permissions or access to anything. WTF.

Working at Playing, Playing at Working?

While I have heard that 4th edition Dungeons and Dragons is quite easy to run as a DM with very little effort, the truth for me is that I have at least until I get a job to piece everything together, so I have been filling the time over-preparing what I'm going to run. At the point that I'm going to play this, I'll have so much stuff that I know will never be used, but that's fine with me.

I'm still looking for a job, and I was told yesterday that I should work in a book store. Not that I really think this is a stroke of genius from afar, but I'm going to apply to all the bookstores I can in the area within the next few days, just in case it is.

And we still haven't found a place, not really. :\

Just When I Thought It Had Died . . .

Here HonkyDorky arises again from the grave. I have yet to decide if it's more reminiscent of a Zombie or a Pheonix but in either case what had died has now been reborn (apparently). Considering all of two people read this blog I don't see much point in posting here but really what else do I have to do with my time right now?

Oh and Dave, you should get the comic going again . . . just saying.

As a final note in this rambling post, Disney just bought Marvel what do all of you out there in internet land think of this turn of events?

Moving . . . Again

Why, one might ask? well, if anyone looked at this thing, anyway. The answer is that I got a great job and am set for life.

Now that I'm done lying, it's my wife that got a job, and while the environment is better, the pay is not, and thus I am searching for a work and a domicile. This, after not being able to pay for my last class, and not sure if they will even let me re-apply right now with my balance that I have on my account.

So yeah, life is going peachy, you non-existent fans of my non-life.

The Second Monster Manual comes out Tomorrow

Are there any D&D geeks out there as happy as I am that there's another book full of monsters? Now with 100% more metallic dragon!

Now what I need is a job so I can have the money to buy said book, instead of drooling all over a copy at the closest book store. :)

It Arises Once More.

This old blog is still alive, so I'm reviving it. I'm not sure what will become of it, if I'll use it all that much. but I'm going to use it in a similar manner as my Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, etc accounts. One more place to put my BS out there on the internet once more.

I'm looking for a job in Portland. I'm nearing the Grad date. Oh, and I've been enveloped by the Fourth edition of Dungeons & Dragons.

Sakuracon!

So, I went to Sakuracon, an anime convention in Seattle. It was this past weekend. I must say that when you go to a convention intended for an animation type specific to another country, you tend not to attend these things with the intention of seeing something from your own country. Like say how I went to this convention with my wife and friends with the specific intention of meeting up with and buying things from the Penny Arcade guys Mike and Jerry (known to fandom at large as Gabe and Tycho, respectively). Since I met and knew Mike through Dave (the user named honkydorky, or to you WoW guildies Davwhi), I like to go say hi whenever possible, since they're nice guys and I like their comic and they feel my pain about having lived in Spokane, WA. What I was not counting on is the entertaining pair that I got to witness. You see, the oportunity to actually kibitz with these two had only really arisen (arose? ariseded? whatever.)once or twice really, including this time. This, compounded with Mike's earnest declaration of loving yuri (google it, I dare you) made the event so much more worth going than I had figured it would be.

The friends I went with were a costumer (mainly a cosplayer) and her husband, an engineer guy from Intel (you know, one of those techy engineering guys), and we met up with some of his old pals who really kicked my ass at a game of Kung Fu Samurai on Giant Robot Island.

Well, not much else to tell, really. When the frontpage is ready to make the move to a new format, we'll tell ya. Until then , we'll keep bringing you our boring, non-regular updates.

Apparently, $60 is not enough money to spend on lesbian anime porn.

No More School, No More Books . . . . .

So, this quarter is over and now it's on to Spring Break! I'm still workingon the workover for the site, but at least I took our lights down. April is seen by many people as a time of change, and this April will see a new fronpage for this site, a revitalization of the comic Out oF Character, and possibly a new look for the forum. We're going to try and bring this beast back to life, and to do that, we're going to need a bit of help, so I'm going to ask for some british help.

Until then, hang out.

I'm Pierre, the only french bum in New York, when I open my Boones Farm I still sniff the cork . . .

I've Been Sick

So things have been a little quite here. Sinus infections, flu etc. Fun stuff.

I'm trying to get the homepage fixed up, and get a comic "gallery" up. I'm using something called Wordpress. It's really nice.

Recently, I got to see the movie Serenity. It was made to follow a canceled TV show. If you like sci-fi, you owe it to yourself to watch this movie.

And As Quick As |It Was Missing . . . .

It's back! The forum seems now, for some reason or another, to now be able to connectto the database, and this means Dave should be notified.

One New Change . . .

And all it cost us was the forum! You all can't see it right now, because it's under construction. When it's done it will make this frontpage look foolish and child-like in design.

I'm sure we can find a way to fix the forum database, but for right now, sit tight. That means you too, WoW guildies.

Changes

Over the next two months, there will be many changes implemented here in the anticipation of the return of the comic. Yes it is still being worked on. We fell behind, and now we are trying to not only catch up but to create a backup of comics so that if we do get too busy again, the comic will not fall behind because of it. April will see the re-launching of the comic.

And there might just be some other surprises too.
